The Projectors is an indie rock band based out of Victoria, BC, Canada, consisting of Dylan Rysstad (vocals), Robbie Shirriff (guitar), Dustin Tiljoe (guitar), Conor Brandt (bass), and Evan Matthiesen (drums).
Drawing on influences from the early "aught rock" scene (e.g., The Strokes, The Walkmen et al.), The Projectors have a familiar yet modern and unique sound. The Strokes influence can be heard on tracks like "Golden Age" which has already garnered them considerable local attention and the Zone 91.3's "Band of the Month" for January 2023.
While Dylan's other projects and past releases have their purpose and place, his songwrtiting, sound, and vision, has never clicked as well as it does here with The Projectors.
